Talking head videos are boring, especially in the financial space. Yet, every investment firm wants to record their investors giving their market outlook in order to build their credibility. Putnam’s in-house agency records several portfolio managers every quarter and tasked us with creating a graphics package and format to give their editors a roadmap to follow during post- production. We created a look and feel for their videos that included lower thirds, call outs for text and quotes, full screen graphics, and a style for using b-roll. After editing the first in the series, their in-house team was well positioned to continue using the format to execute on future videos.
